Most sending problems come down to one thing: the password ParsaLink has saved for your email account is no longer the one your email provider expects. Here’s how to find the cause and fix it.

Start with what Parsa told you

When Parsa can’t send, it says which account failed and why. The most common message looks like this:
Failed to send email from Your Name ([email protected]): … The mail server rejected the saved password for [email protected]. Update it in Settings > Email Accounts in this workspace, then try again.
That means your email provider turned the login away. Almost always, the password was changed since you added the account to ParsaLink. The fix is below.

Update the saved password

1

Open your email accounts

In the sidebar, open Settings, then choose Email Accounts under your own settings. On a phone, tap the menu in the top left corner first.
2

Edit the account that failed

Find the account named in the error and choose Edit.
3

Enter your current password

Type the password you use to sign in to that mailbox today, and save.
4

Send yourself a test

Choose Test on the account. It asks where to send the test, already filled in with the account’s own address; send it. If the email arrives, the account works again.
Then ask Parsa to send the email again.

If you use more than one workspace

Each workspace keeps its own email accounts. Parsa sends from the account in the workspace you’re working in at the moment, and never borrows one from another workspace. So if you switch to a workspace and Parsa can’t send, that workspace may not have your account yet. Add it there with Add Email Account, in the same Settings > Email Accounts screen, while you’re in that workspace.

Which account Parsa sends from

If you have more than one account in a workspace, Parsa uses the one marked as default. Choose Set as Default on the account you want. With no account of your own in the workspace, Parsa sends from the workspace’s own email address instead.

Gmail and Microsoft 365

If your email is Gmail or Google Workspace, Connect Gmail signs you in with Google instead of a saved password, so there’s no password to fall out of date. If you do add Gmail with a password, it has to be an app password from your Google account’s security settings, not your normal one.
Still stuck after a successful Test? Tell Parsa what you asked it to send and what it said back, or contact support, and we’ll look at the send logs for you.
