What Are Accounts?

Accounts represent the companies and organizations you do business with. An account is the central record that ties together the people (contacts), deals (opportunities), support tickets (cases), and proposals associated with a single company. When a salesperson says “we’re working with Acme Corp,” everything about that relationship — all the contacts there, all the deals in play, all the cases open — lives under the Acme Corp account.

Account Stages

Accounts move through stages that reflect the overall health of your relationship with a company:
StageMeaning
ProspectIdentified as a potential customer, not yet active
ActiveIn active sales or onboarding conversations
CustomerA paying, onboarded customer
PartnerA partner, reseller, or referral source
ChurnedWas a customer but has left

Linking Contacts to Accounts

Contacts are linked to accounts in two ways: When creating a contact — Use the Account field on the new contact form. Type the company name to search for an existing account or create a new one on the fly. From the account record — Open the account and click Add Contact in the Contacts section. You can link an existing contact or create a new one that will automatically be associated with the account. A contact can only belong to one account at a time. If a person changes companies, update their account link from the contact’s detail page.

Account Detail Page

Opening an account record gives you a full company-level view:
  • Header — Company name, website, industry, stage badge, and assigned user.
  • Contacts — All people from this company currently in your CRM, with their titles and stages.
  • Opportunities — All deals associated with this account, with values and current pipeline stages.
  • Cases — Open and resolved support tickets for this account.
  • Proposals — All proposals sent to this account, with their statuses.
  • Activity Timeline — Combined feed of all activity across all linked records.
  • Notes — Account-level internal notes.
  • Files — Documents attached to this account (e.g., contracts, NDAs).

Filtering and Searching Accounts

From the Accounts list you can filter by:
  • Stage
  • Industry
  • Assigned user
  • Company size
  • Date created or modified
  • Tags
Use the Accounts page combined with stage filters to build target lists. For example, filter to Stage = Prospect and Industry = SaaS to get a focused outreach list, then use bulk actions to assign them to a rep.

Account-Level Analytics

When you open the AI chat panel while viewing an account record, Parsa AI has context about that account. You can ask questions like:
  • “What’s the total pipeline value for this account?”
  • “When was the last email sent to someone at this company?”
  • “Summarize all open cases for this account.”
