# Light and dark mode

> Switch ParsaLink between light and dark, or let it follow your device.

ParsaLink has a light look and a dark look. It starts on **Auto**, which follows whatever your computer or phone is set to, so a device in dark mode shows ParsaLink dark without anyone choosing it.

## Change it

    In the sidebar on the left, choose **Settings**. On a phone, tap the menu in the top left corner first.

  <Step title="Go to Appearance">
    Under your own settings, choose **Appearance**.

  <Step title="Pick a mode">
    Choose **Light**, **Dark** or **Auto**. The screen changes straight away.

Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you onto your other devices.

## ParsaLink went dark on its own

It's on **Auto** and the device is in dark mode. Plenty of laptops and phones switch to dark mode in the evening, or after an update. Choose **Light** under **Settings > Appearance** and ParsaLink stays light whatever the device does.
